Dinedor Outdoor Centre (DOC) is proud to be able to offer a safe and unique environment to enrich the educational opportunities of even the very young. DOC is situated on the site of an IRON AGE HILLFORT and therefore boasts 360 degree views over Herefordshire and has access to more than 11 acres of woodland and meadows.
We are able to offer a wide range of activities which will follow and enhance Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum subjects of ENGLISH, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, SCIENCE, DT, ART and PE.
We can offer exclusive use of the centre and a TAILOR MADE PROGRAMME encompassing any of the above chosen subjects.
Our teaching "venues" at Dinedor include:
- Dinedor Tipi village which consists of 2 traditional Tipis and a traditional outdoor cooking fire - ideal for storytelling and creative work - ask about our activities which include making traditional flatbread over the fire.
- A meeting room/classroom with IT and media equipment suitable for most educational needs.
- Traditional cargo tents that each house up to ten pupils.
- 2 kitchens, comprehensively equipped, ideal for domestic science and enabling you to cater for your groups dining requiremants whilst visiting the centre. don't forget to visit our vegetable patch and use our compost bins to help us grow bigger and better vegetables next year!
In addition to the physical demands of discovering the area, we offer a wide range of activities that will cover both the National and Core Curriculum requirements. The centre itself offers fantastic team building opportunitites whilst making learning fun.

| Please Note: Prices are based on a 24hr period (i.e. 4pm – 4pm). If you wish to extend your stay, half day hire rates apply. Minimum charge to hire the dormitory accommodation is £120 per night. A winter heat and light supplement is payable from Oct 1st to March 31st of £15 per group per night. |
